Should the name be changed to "Bushmen"?

In the first chapter of Small Places, Large Issues, Eriksen notes, albeit parenthetically:

(By the way, the Bushmen are sometimes spoken of as the San, since the term Bushmen is by some considered vaguely racist. However, since ‘San’ is a pejorative term used by the neighbouring Khoikhoi, the term Bushmen is again in common use; see Barnard 2007.)
